So in regards to any current borrowing – Borrowers who are granted a six-month deferral on loan repayments will not have their credit rating affected as a result of the holiday, so long as they were up to date with repayments prior to the economic impact of COVID-19. Read More from ABA

Please do not defer contacting all your lenders should you feel over the next few months you maybe unable to make a repayment.

Late payments (usually over 2 weeks after due date) is recorded on your credit file resulting in a decreased score.
